White Columns Country Club

Championship Golf, Family Amenities, and Club Living in Milton

A golf and country club community in Milton, built around a Tom Fazio designed championship course and a level of privacy few North Atlanta neighborhoods can match.

White Columns sits among the rolling hills and hardwood forest just outside downtown Crabapple, a short drive from Downtown Alpharetta and Avalon. The community has drawn families to Milton for decades, and its scale, privacy, and club lifestyle continue to set it apart in one of North Atlanta's most sought after zip codes.

Two Sections, One Neighborhood

White Columns is made up of both a gated section and a non-gated section, sitting just blocks from one another and sharing the White Columns name and address.

The gated section is home to 129 residences set among the golf course, nearby horse farms, and Glenover Pond. It is managed by its own community association, with on-site security staff and live surveillance at the entrances, and is often referred to locally as Gated White Columns.

The non-gated section includes additional streets and sub-communities carrying the White Columns name, such as Colonnade at White Columns, offering the same wooded lots and architectural character with a more accessible entry point and without the gated amenities or associated costs. Because dues, security, and covenants differ between sections, and sometimes street to street, buyers should always confirm which association governs a specific address before writing an offer.

Homes & Architecture

Homes in White Columns are known for stately brick and shingle exteriors, many with wraparound porches, set on generous wooded lots that typically run close to an acre or more. Most homes were built in the late 1990s through early 2000s, with square footage commonly ranging from roughly 3,800 to 8,000 or more, in traditional, colonial, brick, Cape Cod, and custom estate styles. Interiors often include 4 to 7 bedrooms, 3 car garages, main level primary suites, keeping rooms, and finished terrace levels built for entertaining.

Location within the neighborhood matters. Streets like Golf Link View, Golf Vista Court, Rolling Links Drive, Glenover Drive, and sections of White Columns Court sit closest to the golf course, Glenover Pond, or the clubhouse, and tend to carry a premium for it. Interior lots along White Columns Drive and similar streets offer the same privacy and wooded setting at a more accessible entry point into the neighborhood.

The Golf Course

White Columns Country Club's golf course was designed by Tom Fazio, one of the most respected names in course architecture, and stretches 7,053 yards to a par of 72 across more than 250 acres of rolling terrain. Tree-lined fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and strategic bunkering have earned it consistent recognition as one of Atlanta's premier courses, including honors from Golf Digest.

The course and clubhouse are currently undergoing an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation under the club's current ownership, with work expected to continue through the remainder of 2026. Planned and in-progress upgrades include full bunker reconstruction with new sand for better drainage and consistency, a renovated driving range and cart paths, a reimagined bar and grille, a new outdoor patio with a fire pit, an expanded resort-style pool with cabanas and a splash pad, additional tennis and pickleball courts, and a refreshed fitness center. Because the renovation is ongoing, buyers and members should confirm which amenities are open at any given time directly with the club.

Club Ownership

White Columns Country Club has been owned and operated by Arcis Golf since June 2025, when Arcis acquired the club along with The Manor Golf & Country Club in Alpharetta and The Country Club of the South in Johns Creek. Arcis Golf is the second largest owner and operator of golf facilities in the country, with more than 70 private, resort, and daily fee clubs nationwide, and has committed significant capital toward continued upgrades across its Atlanta area properties.

Pool, Tennis & Clubhouse Amenities

Beyond the golf course, White Columns Country Club offers a full slate of family amenities.

Pool. The resort-style pool includes a water slide and splash zone for kids, along with cabanas and towel service for members who want to spend the day relaxing poolside. The Turn Stand, the club's poolside eatery, serves quick bites and drinks throughout the summer season.

Tennis and pickleball. Racquet members have access to nine lighted courts, seven hard courts and two clay, along with four dedicated pickleball courts. The club runs a year-round instructional program for adults and juniors, including team lessons, drop-in drills by skill level, cardio tennis, a quick-start program for beginners, and private and group lessons, plus ALTA and USTA team play and a full calendar of themed social and league events. The pickleball program mirrors that structure with beginner clinics, advanced drills, and competitive leagues of its own.

Clubhouse, restaurant, and pro shop. The 20,000 square foot clubhouse is home to the club's signature restaurant, where an executive chef builds seasonal menus for everything from casual weeknight dinners to elegant private celebrations, with takeout also available. Golfers can grab food and drinks from beverage carts out on the course. The clubhouse also houses a fully stocked golf and tennis pro shop, offering apparel, equipment, and accessories, along with racquet restringing and repair services.

Membership Options

Club membership at White Columns operates separately from either neighborhood association, and it is open to both residents and non-residents. Buyers are never required to join the club simply because they live in the neighborhood.

Current membership categories include:

  • Full Golf Membership, with unlimited access to the course plus swim, tennis, pickleball, fitness, dining, and social events
  • Limited Golf Membership, with course access Sunday afternoon through Thursday, plus full swim, tennis, pickleball, and social privileges
  • Racquet Membership, focused on the tennis and pickleball program along with pool, fitness, and social access
  • Social Membership, built around dining, the pool, and the club's year-round calendar of family and social events

Members also gain Arcis Access, which extends reciprocal privileges to other Arcis owned clubs around the country. Exact dues are not published and vary by membership type, so the most accurate next step for an interested buyer is scheduling a tour or contacting the membership office directly.

Downtown Crabapple

White Columns sits just minutes from downtown Crabapple, widely considered the heart of Milton. It is home to Milton City Hall, the Milton Library, several of the city's schools, and the community's most walkable concentration of shops and restaurants.

Crabapple Market anchors the district with local boutiques, restaurants, and Crabapple Green, a gathering lawn used for markets and outdoor events. Nearby, the newer Market District Crabapple has added restaurants like Aberdeen Steakhouse, Le Mer Seafood, and Community Burger alongside retail and office space. Longstanding local favorites in the area include Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails, set inside a restored historic farmhouse, along with B&B Tavern, Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub, and Six Bridges Brewing.

Downtown Crabapple is also where Milton's community life plays out year round, with the Milton Farmers Market, the Independence Day Parade, Milton Hometown Jubilee, Christmas in Crabapple, and the annual Crabapple Fest, which draws more than 30,000 visitors each fall.

Families seeking a private option also have King's Ridge Christian School nearby, a Christ-centered, college preparatory school in Alpharetta serving Pre-K through 12th grade, located just minutes from White Columns near Cambridge High School.

White Columns Real Estate Market

Home prices in White Columns typically range from roughly $1M to $7M and above, with the widest variation tied to lot placement rather than square footage alone. Golf frontage, water views, and clubhouse proximity tend to command the top of the market, while interior wooded lots offer strong value with the same privacy and finish quality buyers expect in this neighborhood.

Recent neighborhood data shows a median sale price above $1.6M, with homes offering views and pools trading well above that figure. Demand remains healthy, with most homes selling within a month and a half, though not every listing moves at the same pace or commands a bidding war. Buyers who understand which streets and lot types carry a premium are better positioned to negotiate with confidence, whether they are writing an offer or pricing a home to sell.

Guidance for Buyers and Sellers

What is the difference between gated and non-gated White Columns? Gated White Columns includes 129 homes within secured entrances, managed by its own community association with on-site security. The non-gated section includes nearby streets and sub-communities, such as Colonnade at White Columns, that share the neighborhood's character and address without the gates. Dues, covenants, and amenities can differ between the two, so it is worth confirming which association applies to a specific home.

What price range should buyers expect in White Columns? Homes in White Columns generally range from roughly $1M to $7M or more, depending on section, lot placement, golf or water frontage, and the level of finish and renovation.

Is club membership required to live in White Columns? No. Both neighborhood associations are separate from White Columns Country Club, and club membership is open to residents and non-residents alike. Buyers can choose whether the club lifestyle is part of their plan, and can select from Full Golf, Limited Golf, Racquet, or Social membership depending on how they want to use the club.

What should I consider when buying or selling in White Columns? Section and lot placement drive much of the value story in this neighborhood. Golf and water facing homes, along with those closest to the clubhouse, typically command the highest prices, while interior wooded lots and non-gated addresses offer strong value for buyers prioritizing privacy and space over club proximity. For sellers, understanding how a specific address compares to recent sales on similar streets and within the same section is essential to pricing correctly from day one.
