  • Refresh your kitchen and pantry for the new year
  • Clear home and wardrobe clutter
  • Organize your papers and digital documents
  • Deep clean kitchen appliances after holiday use
  • Take down and store holiday decorations
  • Check sinks and toilets for leaks
  • Check the exterior lighting and replace burnt bulbs

The National Association of Realtors recently stated they believe home values nationwide will appreciate 1.2% next year.
 
In the last few years we've seen appreciations of up to 20% so a 1.2% for buyers is a good sign, but what does that really mean?
 
The Real Estate Market is always shifting, so the most ideal time to move is whenever the timing is right for you. Without a crystal ball it's hard to know what interest rates will do in 2023. What we do know is that rates are predicted to have hit their peak, and we are settling into a healthier and more normalized market.

If you purchased a home in 2022, friendly reminder that you may be eligible for Homestead Exemption on the home you purchased.
 
If you used the home as your primary residence in 2022 then you're most likely able to take advantage of the discount that will lower the amount of taxes you owe each year. You must apply by April 1st.
 
Apply for the exemption with the county. It's relatively simple and doesn't cost anything.

As you're getting your home ready for the new year, remember there are people out there less fortunate. Consider giving back to our community!
 
North Fulton Community Charities provides food assistance to individuals and families in need in the North Fulton community. The Food Pantry serves more than 125 households each day, offering non-perishable foods and fresh fruit, vegetables and meats as well as toiletries, diapers and other household necessities.
 
By using the food pantry, families struggling to make ends meet can significantly reduce their food expenses, freeing up money to use toward housing, utilities, gas and other bills. The NFCC Food Pantry relies on food and household supply donations from individuals, businesses, faith and civic organizations, schools and others.
